How
fear gets into your life

We live in perilous times. There is a lot
to think about since our world changed on Sept. 11, 2001. We
now have reasons to be afraid. But some people fight irrational
fears with no basis in reason.
If you are caught in chronic fear and anxiety as some -women
especially- tend to be, you will not pray fear away quickly.
It will take a season of persistently speaking the Word of God
into your life and your situation. Seeking the Lord and speaking
the Word over your situation is prayer. But it may not be the
kind you are used to.
You may not get far by praying, "Oh dear God I'm so afraid.
Please deliver me from this fear." You will have to learn
how to pray so that your mind is renewed and you cause faith
to come by speaking the Word.
People with crippling fear have often opened a door for oppression
to come into their lives. Anger at someone, resentment, unforgiveness
are those doors that Satan most often comes through to cripple
you with fear. Keep those doors closed. Do not allow even bad
feelings toward someone to persist in your life. It's not worth
it. The cost is too high. If you close your life down to accommodate
fear, your life is destroyed.
Another way the devil gets in to oppress you with fear is through
pursuit of the occult, most often begun by dabbling in astrology.
You may graduate from that to consulting fortune tellers, necromancers
(those who call up the dead) tarot cards, candle burning, and
what used to be know as "white witchcraft." Using some
other power or pursuing any other spiritual power than Almighty
God is witchcraft and will make you open and subject to all the
powers of hell. (Submitting yourself to hypnosis can also open
a door that will not be easily closed.) There is a reason why
occult practices are forbidden in the Bible. (See Deuteronomy
18 and other passages.)
Parents, do not let your children get involved in reading the
Harry Potter books. They are instruction books for the open,
overt practice of witchcraft, and children exposed to these books
will more than likely need deliverance from demonic powers.
They will be opening themselves to fears, nightmares and all
the torments that fear and demonic oppression bring. And ultimately
their eternal destiny is as stake. You want your child to be
a child of God, saved by the blood of Jesus, don't you? Heed
the warning. This is serious stuff.
Parents, keep your children safe from these influences. Show
them what the Bible says. Witches under Old Testament law were
not allowed to live because of their demonic influence on the
people of God. Plead the blood of Jesus over your children and
teach them how to keep fear out of their lives.
